Located in Corpus Christi, Texas, we invite you to discover the famed fishing grounds of South Texas as you explore the productive flats and drift along the crystal-clear shallow waters.
Whether you’re a new or expereinced angler, we offer year-round private fishing trips that are tailored to meet the needs of your group. Our expereinced guide, Capt. Grady Skelton, is committed to providing you with an exceptional fishing expereince, regardless of your skill level.
Vagabond Flats offers multi-boat trips for large groups and corporate events. Capt. Grady is also available for fishing tournaments.
MEET CAPTAIN GRADY
Capt. Grady Skelton is a USCG certified and licensed professional fishing guide and owner of Vagabond Flats, LLC.
Born and raised in Texas, Capt. Grady has spent his life chasing trout and redfish along the Texas Coast. He specializes in wade fishing with artificial lures, but is just as comfortable drift fishing from his boat.
THE BOAT
Spend the day aboard a SCB R24.
The SCB R24 is a go-anywhere premium fishing platform that delivers dry speed in rough chop and accelerates on rails in the backwater.
THE MARINA
Begin your day at Marker 37 Marina.
We will meet at Marker 37 Marina in the morning located off of JFK Causeway, right next door to Snoopy’s Pier. The marina is stocked with snacks, drinks and tackle. There are also clean bathrooms for public use. Grab a breakfast taco on our way out from FishTales, the marina’s bar and grill, and a cold drink once we hit the dock. If your group decides to keep fish, your catch can be cleaned here for a small charge.
